Established in 1998, the Queensland Fire & Biodiversity Consortium (QFBC) stands as a pioneering program in Australia's fire management landscape.

With over 27 years of dedicated service, the QFBC has become a trusted authority, delivering innovative, science-backed fire management solutions across Queensland. Our collaborative approach brings together diverse stakeholders, from government agencies and utilities to community groups and Traditional Owners, all working towards integrated fire management and biodiversity conservation.

The QFBC's unique blend of research, practical application, and community engagement has transformed how fire management is approached in our state. Our expert-led training programs, strategic planning services, and hands-on workshops empower communities and industries to adopt best practices, reducing natural hazard risks to biodiversity, human life, and infrastructure.
